This "Climat"

This Climat's name reminds us of when it was owned by the lords of Commarain. It's one of the most prestigious Pommard "premiers crus".

Tasting

A beautiful vivid ruby colour with light garnet tints. The nose is delightfully elegant and spicy, with red and black fruit aromas. The wine offers a beautiful substance with a clean attack, fullness on the palate and a lingering and suave finish on complex aromas. This first vintage under new ownership expresses its terroir with elegance and depth.
Clos de la Commaraine

Terroir

Clos de la Commaraine is planted on clay and limestone soils coloured red by iron oxides. Situated on the north slope of the appellation, on the Beaune side, it produces hearty, highly fragrant wines that show great refinement and superb balance.
