This "Climat"

This Climat's name reminds us of when it was owned by the lords of Commarain. It's one of the most prestigious Pommard "premiers crus".

Tasting

A beautiful vivid ruby colour with light garnet tints. The nose is delightfully elegant and delicate, with fresh and white fruit aromas. The wine offers superb tension, with a clean, vibrant attack, fullness on the palate without being too hearty and a lingering finish on fresh, floral aromas. This first vintage under new ownership expresses its terroir with elegance and refinement.
Clos de la Commaraine

Terroir

Clos de la Commaraine is planted on clay and limestone soils coloured red by iron oxides. Situated on the north slope of the appellation, on the Beaune side, it produces hearty, highly fragrant wines that show great refinement and superb balance.
